(Continued from previous leg...) After exiting the Hudson Exclusion north of Alpine Tower, it was an easy flight afterwards into Salem.
We picked up another rental car planeside, and drove to get lunch.
That evening we visited my aunt and uncle Kristie and Brad as well as my cousin Isaac for a boat ride on their lake and dinner, where we spent the night.
The next morning we drove back down to Salem and checked in. We got lunch, walked around, and visited House of the Seven Gables, which was very interesting. Violet slept the entire time!
Afterwards we visited a pretty interesting local bar for grilled cheese sandwiches.
That evening we did a walking Ghost Tour, and Magic came along. Unfortunately Magic started limping and appeared to have a blister on her hind paw, so I had to once again carry her.
That evening we got her bandaged up and she seemed fine. The next day we saw the old Salem cemetery, dating to the early 1600s, and the Witch Trials memorial.
Finally, we visited a local brewery.
