We drove back to the airport and returned the rental car.
The weather was mostly VFR but marginal, so I filed IFR up to Laconia and we loaded up.
We made the very short flight to Laconia, in and out of the clouds for the first half of it.
We picked up another rental car on arrival, and got lunch.
Afterwards, we checked into our cool little cabin, and explored the town of Weirs Beach. We had a great time walking around and got some ice cream.
We had dinner at a nice dog-friendly place with a big patio, and visited a drive-in movie theater to see F1. It was all of our first drive-in theater experience, which was very fun! And the movie was good too.
The next day we got a late start and the thunderstorms arrived early, so we made a mad dash to beat the rain to the dock where we waited out the rain.
After the storms let up, we boarded the M/S Mount Washington for a 2.5 hour boat ride of Lake Winnipesaukee. The weather was gorgeous and we loved our time up on the top deck looking at the sights. The boat itself was quite large and also served lunch and had a few bars.
That evening we had dinner at another restaurant right by the railroad tracks.
